Volkswagen ID. Buzz novated lease and the FBT cliff
to keep the full exemption
Last day: 31 March 2027

Updated 3 Oct 2026 · every figure links to its source · Some links are referral links; that never changes the order.
The Pro SWB and Pro LWB sit between $75,000 and $91,661: full exemption only if you commit by 31 March 2027, then a 25% discount. That Pro SWB price is drive-away, though, and the value FBT uses leaves out registration, stamp duty and CTP, so it may turn out to be under $75,000.
What to know about the Volkswagen ID. Buzz
The ID. Buzz is Volkswagen's electric people mover, priced on national campaign drive-away figures for the current model year: $79,990 for the short-wheelbase Pro and $84,990 for the long-wheelbase Pro. Both sit between the lines on those figures, and because they include government charges, the value FBT uses is lower.
The long-wheelbase version stays in the 2027 band either way. The short-wheelbase one is less certain: take off stamp duty, registration and CTP and its value may come close to $75,000, so ask the dealer for an itemised price before relying on either answer. Volkswagen quotes a range of 422 to 452 km across the Buzz line-up rather than per version, so we don't show one, and run-out stock of the previous model year was also on offer.
