Privacy and referral links

Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms and no advertising trackers on this site.

Calculators run in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us or stored anywhere.

If you pick a light or dark theme, that choice is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device.

We measure how the site is used with PostHog, an analytics service. It is anonymous and cookie-free: it sets no cookies, saves nothing in your browser's storage, records no screen and builds no profile of you. Each page load is counted on its own, so we can't tell that two visits came from the same person or follow you to other sites. We collect no name, email address or other contact details.

What we measure: which pages are viewed and where visitors came from; clicks and taps; whether someone used a tool at all; the answer it showed (for example which provider came out first, and the headline figure); which provider link was clicked and where on the page; whether a "Show the details" section was opened; and whether a guide was read most of the way down. We never record the numbers you type, and anything after the "?" in a page address, such as the answers in a shared link, is cut before it is sent.

PostHog's servers are in the United States. The data reaches them through an address on this site (/ingest), so your browser talks only to us. Like any web request it carries your IP address and browser type; PostHog uses them to estimate a country or city and the type of device, and we don't use them to identify anyone.

When you follow a link to a provider, we also keep a log of which provider, which page you were on and the time, so we can tell which pages are useful. That record contains nothing about who you are.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies and keeps no personal identifiers.

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes standard request details such as IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Vercel's privacy policy covers that processing.

Provider links pass through an address on this site starting with /go/ and then on to the provider. Once you arrive, the provider and any referral network it uses may set their own cookies, including one recording that you came from us, and their privacy policies apply from that point.
