The Mercedes-Benz EQA is under $75,000: full FBT exemption on a novated lease committed to by 31 March 2029, under the Treasury draft.
What to know about the Mercedes-Benz EQA
Mercedes-Benz shows the EQA's price only as a campaign: from $65,490 drive-away for the EQA 250+, ordered from 24 September and delivered by 31 December 2026, worked out on the highest registration and CTP costs of any state. It publishes no list price before on-road costs that we could read.
Even on that all-inclusive figure the EQA is about nine and a half thousand dollars under $75,000, so its FBT position is settled, and the value FBT uses is lower again once government charges come off. Mercedes quotes a 70 kWh battery but gave no range on the pages we read, so we leave it out.
Options are where a Mercedes can climb. Each one fitted when the car is delivered adds to the base value, so a heavily optioned EQA moves toward the line; check the dealer's itemised price if your build is long. After the campaign ends, the price may change too.

Estimate only. General information, not tax advice. It uses 2026–27 tax rates and the FBT statutory formula, and assumes you pay an after-tax contribution to clear any FBT. The rules for commitments from 1 April 2027 are a Treasury exposure draft, not law, and may change. Confirm your numbers with your employer, your novated lease provider or a registered tax agent.
